Terms of Use
Effective: October 24, 2026
Welcome to faithsoftware.org. These Terms of Use ("Terms") explain how you may use this website. The site is run by Faith Software, Inc. ("Faith Software," "we," "us"), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We tried to keep them short and in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us at care@faithsoftware.org and we'll be glad to explain.
By using faithsoftware.org, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are and what this site covers
Faith Software, Inc. builds free training and free ministry technology for churches and believers. On this site you'll find:
- Training: free lessons for church leaders on choosing church technology and building a church website, app, and online giving.
- Program pages for our three apps: myChelper (church app, website, and online giving, at mychelper.com), SOAPaDay (a free, ad-free SOAP Bible journaling app), and Agpeya (a free Coptic Book of Hours prayer app).
- Information about our mission, our finances, volunteering, and ways to give.
These Terms cover faithsoftware.org only. Our apps and services have their own terms, explained in section 4.
2. Using the site
You're welcome to browse, read, and share this site for personal, educational, and ministry purposes. You don't need an account to read anything here, including the Training.
You must be at least 13 years old to send us information through a form on this site. This matches our Privacy Policy, which says the site is not directed to children under 13.
3. Our free Training
The Training lessons, quizzes, worksheets, and related materials ("Training") are free, and you don't need an account to read them.
How you may use it. You may read, print, and share the Training with your church, ministry team, or volunteers, and adapt it for use inside your own congregation or ministry. When you share it, please link back to the original lesson on faithsoftware.org. Please don't sell the Training, republish it as your own, or put it behind a paywall. Keeping it free is the whole point.
Educational content, not professional advice. The Training shares general guidance from our experience helping churches with technology. It isn't legal, tax, accounting, financial, or security advice. For decisions about church finances, online giving compliance, data protection, or employment, please check with a qualified professional who knows your church's situation.
Examples and tools. Some lessons use myChelper, which we build, for demonstrations. The skills apply to whatever tools your church chooses. Screenshots, prices, features, and steps can change after a lesson is written, so check current details before you rely on them.
Quizzes and completion records. Quizzes are scored on our server. If you pass a module's quiz, you may ask for an emailed completion record. A completion record shows that you finished a free lesson. It is not a degree, certification, license, or accredited credit. How we handle quiz attempts and completion-record requests is described in our Privacy Policy.
Provided as-is. We work hard to keep the Training accurate and current, but it is provided "as is," without any promise that it is complete, error-free, or right for your situation (see section 10).
4. Our apps and other services have their own terms
When you leave this site for one of our programs or a partner service, that service's own terms and privacy policy apply instead of these Terms:
- myChelper, including creating a church account at admin.mychelper.com, church apps and websites, and online giving: see the myChelper terms at mychelper.com/terms and its privacy policy at mychelper.com/privacy-policy.
- SOAPaDay: see soapaday.com/terms and soapaday.com/privacy-policy.
- Agpeya: see the terms and privacy information shown in the app and on its App Store and Google Play listings.
- Apple App Store and Google Play: downloading any of our apps is also subject to Apple's and Google's terms and policies.
If these Terms and an app's own terms ever disagree, the app's terms control for that app.
5. Giving and donations
Thank you for considering a gift. Every gift helps keep our programs free for the churches and believers they serve.
- How online giving works. The Donate button takes you to our Support page. Its Give Now button opens our giving page at faithsoftware.org/give, which then takes you to our secure giving page, where you complete your gift. Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your payment details are entered with Stripe, not on faithsoftware.org, and Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. You can read them at stripe.com/legal.
- Tax status. Faith Software, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 42-3505436). Gifts may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We can't give tax advice, so please check with your tax advisor about your own situation.
- Receipts. For a written acknowledgment of a gift, email care@faithsoftware.org with the name on the gift and its approximate date and amount.
- How gifts are used. Gifts support all four of our programs. If you ask for your gift to go toward a particular program, we'll honor that wherever we can. Faith Software keeps final authority over how contributions are used to carry out its charitable mission, as nonprofit rules require.
- Recurring gifts. You can give one time or on a recurring basis. To change or cancel a recurring gift, email care@faithsoftware.org and we'll take care of it for you.
- Gifts made in error. If you gave by mistake, for example the wrong amount or a duplicate gift, email care@faithsoftware.org and we'll help. Refunds are processed through Stripe. Stripe may not return the processing or transaction fees it charged on the original gift, so your refund may be the gift amount minus those fees.
- In-app giving. Agpeya and SOAPaDay include optional ways to give from inside the app. Those gifts go to Faith Software, Inc. as well.
6. Things you send us (contact, volunteer, and training forms)
When you use our Contact form, Volunteer Application, or Training completion-record form, or when you email us:
- Please send information that is accurate and that you have the right to share. Please don't send passwords, payment card numbers, or sensitive personal details about yourself or members of your church.
- We use what you send to reply to you, follow up on your volunteer interest, send completion records, and communicate with you about our programs, as described in our Privacy Policy. Form submissions are delivered to our team through our email service provider, Resend.
- Ideas and feedback. If you send suggestions, corrections (for example, to Agpeya prayer text or a Training lesson), or other ideas, you agree we may use them to improve our programs without owing you anything. We're grateful for them.
- Volunteering. Sending a volunteer application doesn't create a job, contract, or guaranteed role. Before you begin serving with us, we'll ask you to sign a volunteer agreement that covers expectations, including keeping church and user information confidential and how the work you contribute may be used. That agreement controls your volunteer work.
7. Acceptable use
Please use this site in a way that honors the people we serve. You agree not to:
- break the law, or use the site to harass, threaten, deceive, or harm anyone;
- send spam, junk, or automated form submissions, or pretend to be someone else;
- try to get into parts of the site, our servers, or our systems that aren't meant to be public, or interfere with the site working (for example, by introducing malware or overloading it);
- try to get around how Training quizzes are scored, or collect the answers in bulk;
- scrape or copy large parts of the site in a way that strains it, or present our content as your own; or
- use our name, logos, or program names to suggest we endorse you or your product when we don't.
We may block access, ignore or delete submissions, or take other reasonable steps if we believe someone is misusing the site.
8. Our content, names, and logos
Except where noted, the content on this site, including text, lessons, graphics, logos, and design, belongs to Faith Software, Inc. or is used with permission. "Faith Software," "myChelper," "SOAPaDay," and "Agpeya," and their logos, are names and marks of Faith Software, Inc. (myChelper is a registered trade name of Faith Software, Inc.)
You may use our name and link to our pages to point people to our free programs. Section 3 explains how you may use the Training. For anything beyond that, such as using our logos, republishing content, or partnering on materials, please email care@faithsoftware.org first. We usually say yes to ministry uses.
Scripture and liturgical texts. Scripture quotations and liturgical texts belong to their respective owners and are used with permission or as their terms allow.
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email care@faithsoftware.org with the details and we'll look into it promptly.
9. Links, third-party services, and measurement
This site links to other websites and services, including our own apps, the Apple App Store, Google Play, our giving partner, and public resources such as the IRS tax-exempt organization search. We don't control third-party sites and aren't responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
We use a few service providers to run this site:
- Google Analytics / Google Ads tags and first-party cookies help us understand how people use our pages and measure whether our free programs are reaching people. That includes actions like starting a training module, submitting a form, or choosing an app store link, and it helps us run our Google Ad Grants account responsibly. We don't sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for their marketing. You can control cookies in your browser settings and use Google's ad settings and Analytics opt-out tools. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
- Resend delivers form submissions to our team.
- Our hosting provider and standard web server logs, as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
We give this site and the Training freely and in good faith, and we work to keep them accurate and available. But because they're free, they are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Faith Software makes no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't promise that the site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any result will come from using the Training or our programs.
Figures we publish, such as the number of churches served or app downloads, are our good-faith counts as of the date shown and may change.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Faith Software, Inc. and its directors, officers, staff, and volunteers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, or profits, that come from your use of this site, the Training, or any linked site or service, even if we were told such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to this site or these Terms is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100).
Some places don't allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that can't legally be waived.
12. Changes to these Terms or the site
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when we add a program or change how the site works. When we do, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date at the top. If you keep using the site after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. We may also change, pause, or remove parts of the site, including Training lessons, at any time.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these Terms or this site will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Sedgwick County, Kansas. Before going to court, please email us first. Most concerns can be worked out with a conversation, and we'd like the chance to make things right.
14. General
If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce part of these Terms right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and Faith Software about using faithsoftware.org. Each of our apps' own terms covers that app.
