What your congregation gets
Members download one free app and see your church inside it: your home screen, your announcements, your people. Nothing in it is advertising or a feed of other churches' content.
A home screen that looks like your church
You arrange the tiles on your church's home screen: welcome, directions, service times, today's devotional, links to your website pages, or shortcuts to events, prayer, groups, and the Bible. A starter home screen is built from your church's details the day you sign up, so you never start from a blank page. Changes stay in a draft until you preview and publish them, and you can roll back to an earlier version.
Announcements that reach phones
Post an announcement with text, photos, or video and it lands in every member's in-app inbox with a push notification, so a schedule change or a prayer need doesn't depend on who checked the group text.
Groups, classes, and serving teams
Small groups, classes, and serving teams each get their own space, with their own message thread and leaders. Members can browse open groups and ask to join, and leaders choose who can post.
A prayer board and a record of answered prayer
Members share prayer requests (anonymously if they want) and tap to let someone know they're praying. When a prayer is answered, the person who posted it can mark it answered, and it moves to a feed of answered prayer the whole church can see.
Scripture and devotionals in the same place
A full Bible reader with a choice of English translations, plus daily devotionals and reading plans your church writes or picks from a library, so the week's teaching sits next to the people who are reading it together.
Events people can find
A church calendar with recurring events, livestream links, and visibility you choose: public, one group, or one serving team.
How members find your church in the app
Your admin account has a QR code and a link for your church. Print the code in the bulletin, put it on a slide before the service, or text the link. Members who scan or tap it are guided to download the free myChelper app, and on its welcome screen one tap finds your church. They create their own login, and they can belong to more than one church in the same app (which helps families who attend two congregations).
Because it's one shared app, there's no app-store setup, no developer account, and nothing to maintain on your side. You run everything from a web-based admin, at your own pace.
What the Free plan is, and isn't
- The Free plan is a space for your church inside the shared myChelper app, with your logo, colors, and content. It isn't an app under your church's own name in the App Store and Google Play. That's the optional Branded plan.
- On the Free plan you can send up to 3 mass notifications a month (new churches get a 30-day grace period). Paid plans send without that cap and can schedule announcements ahead.
- On the Free plan, online giving needs the $5/month Giving add-on. Each gift carries a 1% myChelper platform fee plus standard card processing.
- If a paid plan would genuinely help your church but the budget isn't there, contact us. We waive fees for churches that can't afford them.
